Only My F-Rank Touch Calms the S-Rank Hunter novel · Chapter 3 of 24
Chapter 3: Kneel
In a stairwell at Gate 11 in Mapo, mid-clear, Ji-seok flares again and Si-woo orders him to his knees; Yang Tae-min, an A-rank hunter, is watching from the landing.
Three weeks later Si-woo stood behind Strike Team One in a Mapo office building that had grown a gate in its basement.
Nobody had told him guides went into the field.
Eom told him on the van ride, pleasantly, that F-ranks were "approved for proximity support."
That meant standing near the wall with a first-aid kit.
"If he flares in there," Eom said, "you will go in after him. That's the whole point of you."
"Yes, Section Chief."
"Good boy."
Si-woo thought about that phrase later, in a different voice, and it was not the same at all.
The team went down the service stairs in a tight line.
Ji-seok was at the front with his long hair tied back and a sword the size of a door on his shoulder.
He did not look back at Si-woo once.
He didn't need to.
Si-woo could feel him, the way you feel a stove in a dark kitchen.
For twenty days he had held Ji-seok's forearms every evening, and he knew that heat by now.
He knew when it was building.
It was building now.
Forty minutes in, the radio crackled in his ear.
"Captain's flaring at B2," said somebody breathless. "Medic to B2! Guide to B2!"
Si-woo was already running.
The basement corridor was full of smoke and falling plaster.
Three hunters stood against the wall with their weapons lowered, staring at the end of the hall.
At the end of the hall stood Ji-seok.
His sword lay on the floor.
He had both hands pressed to the concrete and gold running up his arms to the shoulders.
The ceiling tiles lifted off one by one and turned to ash.
"Don't go near him!" one of the hunters shouted. "He cleared the whole gate and he can't stop!"
"Yes he can," Si-woo said.
He pushed past the man.
The heat hit him.
He took Ji-seok by the face.
Ji-seok's skin burned his hands, and the gold ring in his eyes was so bright it hurt to see.
"Hey," Si-woo said. "Hey. It's me."
"Si-woo." Ji-seok's voice was shredded. "Get out."
"No."
"I can't hold it. It's too much, I'll..."
"Not here."
Si-woo looked around.
There was a door on the left, a stairwell, a concrete landing with no windows.
"Walk," he said. "Right now. With me."
Ji-seok walked.
Si-woo towed him through the door by one wrist, and the heavy fire door swung shut behind them and cut off the shouting.
The stairwell was dark and cool and smelled of dust.
Si-woo put him against the wall.
Ji-seok slid down the concrete and sat with his knees up and his head back, panting.
Gold crawled in his veins.
The pipes in the walls began to ring.
"It's not enough," Ji-seok said. "Your hands aren't enough this time. It's too big."
"Then I'll use something else," said Si-woo.
He stood in front of Ji-seok.
His heart was going, and he had never been so sure of anything.
"Kneel," he said.
Ji-seok's eyes snapped to his.
"You're sitting. I want you on your knees. Right there, in front of me."
Ji-seok moved before he had finished the sentence.
The big body went onto the concrete, knees apart, hands braced on his thighs.
He looked up at Si-woo, his expression open and raw.
The gold in his eyes steadied.
It actually steadied.
"Look at that," Si-woo said, very softly. "You listen to me."
"Only you."
"I know."
Si-woo opened his belt.
His hands were not quite steady either, which pleased him for some reason.
He pushed his trousers down his hips, and his cock stood out hard and flushed in the dim light of the emergency lamp.
He had wanted this for three weeks.
He had thought about it on trains, in the shower, in the middle of Ga-eul's lectures about money.
Ji-seok's whole face changed.
"May I," he said hoarsely.
"Not 'may I,'" Si-woo said. "Ask me properly."
"Please." Ji-seok swallowed. "Please let me have your cock in my mouth."
Heat shot through Si-woo so hard that his knees went loose.
He put his fingers in Ji-seok's hair and pulled out the tie, and the hair spilled over Ji-seok's shoulders, thick and heavy and soft.
"Hands behind your back."
Ji-seok crossed his wrists behind him without a word.
"Now open."
Ji-seok opened.
Si-woo slid into his mouth slowly, and Ji-seok took him.
Hot and wet and a little clumsy, he gave it his whole attention.
Si-woo groaned and tipped his head against the wall.
"That's it," he said. "Slow. Use your tongue. There. Fuck, there."
Ji-seok made a sound around him, a deep helpless hum, and Si-woo felt it in his spine.
He gripped Ji-seok's hair.
He rocked forward a little, and Ji-seok let him, eyes shut, throat working, tears collecting on his lashes.
"Look at me."
Ji-seok's eyes opened.
Gold, grey, and wet.
"Good," Si-woo said, shaking. "You're so good at this. Take it. Take all of it."
The gold in Ji-seok began to drain.
Si-woo felt it go, out of Ji-seok's arms and into the air and into Si-woo's own feet.
Most of it sank into the knotted place in his back where it always went.
It burned.
He let it.
Ji-seok's mouth tightened and sucked.
He was moaning steadily now, unashamed, and one of his hands came loose from behind him and gripped Si-woo's thigh.
"Hand," Si-woo said.
Ji-seok put it back.
Si-woo laughed, breathless, and then stopped laughing because the heat in his belly pulled tight.
"I'm going to come," he said. "Keep it in your mouth. Don't swallow until I tell you."
Ji-seok nodded, the best nod of his life.
Si-woo came with his fist in Ji-seok's hair and his mouth open, saying Ji-seok's name into the dark.
Ji-seok took every drop on his tongue and held it, trembling, waiting.
"Now," Si-woo said.
Ji-seok swallowed.
A shudder went through him from his head to his heels, and light flashed once along the walls and went out.
Si-woo slid down the wall and sat on the concrete in front of him with his trousers around his knees.
Ji-seok's breath was loud in the quiet.
The ring in his eyes had gone completely.
"Come here," Si-woo said, and Ji-seok crawled the last few feet and put his head against Si-woo's chest.
Si-woo held it.
"I didn't come," Ji-seok said into his shirt, ragged.
"I noticed."
"I think I did."
Si-woo looked down.
A dark patch was spreading on the front of Ji-seok's trousers.
Si-woo's stomach did a long slow roll.
"From my cock in your mouth," he said, "and nothing else."
Ji-seok hid his face against him, mortified and glowing.
Si-woo kissed the top of his head.
The fire door opened above them.
Si-woo looked up.
On the landing, one hand on the rail, stood a blond man in a bomber jacket, with a silver earring and a cheerful face.
Si-woo knew him from the Bureau posters.
Yang Tae-min, A-rank, Strike Team Two.
Yang looked at Si-woo, at the huge hunter curled in his lap with his hair down, at Si-woo's open belt.
"Well," he said, delighted. "So that's how you do it."
