Chapter 7: The Tub

It took fourteen buckets to fill the tub, and he carried every one himself.

By the time he poured the last, steam rolled off the water in the cold dusk, and the first stars had come out over the hills.

The tub was a round wooden barrel big enough for two, tucked in a corner behind the farmhouse where a hedge hid it from the road.

Aoi hung a lantern on a nail and set a cake of lavender soap on the edge.

Then she turned around, and he was already naked.

He stood at the side of the tub with the lantern light slipping gold over his chest and thighs, and he looked at her.

"Get in," she said, and her voice came out low.

He stepped over the edge and sank into the water with a long exhale.

She undressed in front of him slowly, because she wanted to.

She watched his eyes follow every button, the rise of her shirt over her head, the slide of the overalls down her hips.

When she was bare she stood in the cold air for one second, and his gaze moved over her.

"You are going to freeze," he said.

"Then warm me."

She climbed in facing him.

The water was hot and it rose up around her breasts, and she gasped at the sting of it.

He caught her by the waist and drew her across the tub into his lap.

Her knees settled on either side of his hips on the wooden seat, and the whole length of his cock pressed against her belly under the water.
