Chapter 5: Room 4

The groom's mother took me by the elbow and walked me to the coat rack by the barn door.

"You've got hay in your hair, honey," she said, and picked out a long yellow piece and held it up between us.

"I fell asleep on a bale."

"Mm-hm."

She smoothed my shoulder, once, with a hand that smelled like hand cream and hairspray.

"The cottages need to be empty by noon," she said. "The boys are driving back to Franklin today. Both of them. I wanted you to know that, since you're so close to the family."

"I'll tell them goodbye."

"You do that," she said, and smiled, and went back to her coffee.

I stood there with the piece of hay in my fist.

Then I walked out across the gravel to the guest cottage with my head up, past the white rocking chairs.

Room 4 was unlocked, with the door standing open an inch.

They were already inside.

Colt sat on the edge of the bed with his boots off and his hands loose between his knees.

Jesse stood at the window with his vest unbuttoned.

Neither of them had turned on the lamp.

The curtains were thin, and the light came through them white and flat.

I shut the door and turned the lock.

"She knows," Jesse said.

"She knows something."

"She's going to make us leave."

"At noon," I said, and walked over to them. "It's eleven."

Colt looked up at me from the bed.

"What do you want?" he said.

"Both of you."

"Both."

"At the same time. I want to know what that's like," I said.

Jesse made a small strangled noise.

Colt stood up slowly, took my face in one hand, and kissed me, deep and unhurried, with his thumb at the hinge of my jaw.

When he let go, Jesse was behind me, and his hands were at my zipper.

"Is that right?" he said into my hair. "Both?"

"Both."

The zipper went down.

The sundress fell off my shoulders and over my hips and onto the floor.

I stood in the white light in a bra and nothing else, with the two of them looking.

I did not cross my arms.

"God," Colt said.

"Lacey," said Jesse.

I got on the bed.

I knelt in the middle of it, facing the headboard, with my knees apart and my hands flat on the quilt.

I looked over my shoulder.

"Well?"

They moved at the same time.

Colt came around the front of the bed, and I heard his belt.

Jesse got on the mattress behind me and put both hands on my ass, on the places he'd made red.

His thumbs pulled me open a little, and I felt his breath.

"Open your mouth," Colt said.

I opened it.

He fed his cock between my lips, slow, salty and warm.

I closed my mouth around him and took him as deep as I could.

He groaned and put a hand in my hair.

Behind me, Jesse's mouth landed.

It was hot and eager and a little sloppy, his tongue flat against me, his nose pressing at the top of my ass.
