Chapter 5: Good

They made it as far as the door of the Saint's House.

Mai had her blouse buttoned wrong all the way across the moonlit garden, and her legs still felt like boiled noodles.

Hinata shut the door behind them and turned the bolt.

Then she took Mai by the shoulders and walked her backward until her spine met the wood.

"I'm not done," Hinata said.

"I can't, I just..."

"You can."

Hinata's eyes were dark and bright, and her chestnut hair had come loose from its ribbon, and her white robe was crooked on her shoulders.

She kissed Mai hard.

Mai tasted herself on Hinata's lips, salt and sweet, and a fresh pulse of heat rolled low in her belly.

"I liked how you sounded," Hinata whispered into her mouth. "I want to hear it again."

"Hinata..."

"You said please. You begged me, and you were so good about it."

The word went through Mai.

She made a small sound and tried to hide it, and Hinata felt it and went still against her.

"Mai."

"What?"

"Say that again."

"I didn't say anything."

"You did. That." Hinata's thumb brushed her cheek, slow and curious. "When I said good."

Mai turned her face away.

Hinata caught her chin and turned it back.

"Good," she said, very softly. "You're good, Mai."

Mai's knees buckled.

"There," Hinata breathed. Her eyes widened and then lit with a slow, wicked delight. "Oh. Oh, that's it, isn't it?"

"It's embarrassing."

"It's the best thing I've ever found out about anyone."

She slid her hands down Mai's sides, over the crooked blouse.

She gathered the grey skirt in both fists and pushed it up to Mai's waist.

"Hold this," Hinata said.

Mai took the bunched fabric in shaking hands.

Mai stood against the door with her skirt held up, bare below the waist.

Hinata dropped to her knees for one moment and kissed the soft skin above her pubic hair.

Then she stood again and pressed her whole body forward, and her hand slid between Mai's legs.

Mai gasped.

She was already slick and swollen from the shed, and Hinata's fingers glided over her with no resistance.

"You're still wet," Hinata said, delighted. "You've been wet this whole time."

"You make me..."

"I know. Good. You hold your skirt up so nicely."

Mai's head fell back against the wood.

"Look at you," Hinata murmured. "The pharmacist. The sensible one."

She rubbed slow circles over the clit.

"You never ask for one thing back."

"You sat under that horrible Chancellor's eyes and never said a word. All of it was so good."

Mai's thighs shook.

"You took care of everyone," Hinata said, against her ear.

"Tonight you ask. Tonight you let someone else carry it."

Her fingers pressed harder.

"You're such a good girl, Mai."

Mai whimpered.

It was an ugly, helpless, wet little noise, and she'd never heard herself make it before.

"I thought so," Hinata whispered.
