Chapter 7: Chae Do-hyun
"Fuck me," Do-hyun said.
He said it on Monday night at the foot of the bed, with the lamp on and the door unlocked behind him.
Woo-jin stood three steps away in his shirtsleeves, with a cube of sugar halfway to his own mouth.
He lowered it.
"Say that again."
"I asked." Do-hyun's voice was steady, and his hands were not. "You wanted it plain. Without a knife and without a hand on my neck. I'm asking, Mr. Gu. Fuck me."
"Why tonight?"
"Because I walked out of here this morning," Do-hyun said, "and I came back."
The cube dropped on the carpet.
Neither of them looked at it.
Woo-jin crossed the floor and took Do-hyun's face in both hands.
It was the second time he had done it, and this time he did not ask.
He kissed him slowly.
It was nothing like the shower.
His mouth was warm and careful, and each kiss took its time.
Do-hyun made a small sound in his throat and held on to his wrists.
"Say it again," Woo-jin murmured.
"Fuck me."
"Not that part," Woo-jin said.
"Please."
"There," Woo-jin said, and kissed him again.
He undressed him slowly.
The hoodie went over his head, and the T-shirt after it.
Woo-jin's mouth followed every inch he uncovered, collarbone, ribs, the hollow below the navel.
He knelt to take off the jeans and pressed his lips to the bruised hipbone.
When he stood, he kissed the mole under the left eye, and Do-hyun let him.
"Your turn," Do-hyun said.
"Is it?"
"Take your shirt off."
Woo-jin unbuttoned it one button at a time under Do-hyun's stare.
He was broad and lean and marked with old pale scars: a puckered line along the ribs, a round one on the shoulder.
Do-hyun put his palm flat over the round one.
"Who?" he asked.
"My father's accountant."
"Is he dead?" Do-hyun asked.
