Chapter 22: What the Owner Wants

Livia's POV

The ring was on my hand when we got back to his apartment, and I kept looking at it in the elevator.

Quentin stood very straight with his hands behind his back.

He hadn't touched me since the lawyer's office.

It was twelve minutes past one.

The door closed behind us, and I turned to face him in the hall.

"Seven days are up," I said.

"They are."

"Here are my terms."

He waited.

"In the building, I own forty percent and you answer to me. You run what I tell you to run. You'll be good at it, and I'll be hard to please." I took a step toward him. "At night, in this apartment, I'm the one who answers."

His eyes went very dark.

"Say that again."

"At night, you run me."

He put his hand under my chin.

"Say what you want, Livia."

"I want you to give orders," I said. "I want to obey them. I want to call you daddy and mean it, and I want you to make me earn every minute."

His thumb moved across my lip.

"Good girl," he said.

My knees nearly went.

"Take off your dress."

I did, there in the hall, and let it fall.

"All of it."

I undid my bra, and pushed down my underwear, and stood naked in front of him with the watch on my wrist and the ring on my finger.

He walked around me slowly, still fully dressed.

"Kneel."

I knelt on the cold floor.

He stood over me and unfastened his belt, and I felt every muscle in my body tighten with want.
