Chapter 7: His Terms
At midnight Si-on walked down the upper hall with the collar in his fist.
He was barefoot, in a pair of borrowed grey sweatpants and nothing else, and every nerve in his body was awake.
The door of the chain room stood open.
Seo-jin sat in the chair at the foot of the bed with his jacket off and his sleeves rolled.
He was reading something on a tablet, and he did not look up.
Du-sik had called at eleven.
Ji-won's phone had been found in a drain by the Nampo-dong fish market.
There were no other leads, and the Devil's men were on every street between Yeongdo and the port.
There was nothing Si-on could do, and the helplessness had eaten at him for an hour until he could not sit still.
He stopped in the doorway.
"I'm here on my own legs," he said.
Seo-jin put the tablet down.
"The door is open," Si-on said. "I've got the key to it in my pocket."
He held out the collar.
"I want it on. And I want you to fuck me."
The grey eyes lifted.
In the lamplight they had gone almost black.
"Are you sure?"
"Don't." Si-on's voice cracked. "Don't ask me again."
"You asked me a hundred times already, and I said no, and I meant yes. Chain me up. Then fuck me."
Seo-jin stood.
He crossed the room slowly, took the collar from Si-on's hand, and turned it over, studying the buckle as if he had never seen it.
"Take off the trousers."
Si-on pushed them down and stepped out.
He stood naked in front of the Devil, hard and shaking.
The split in his eyebrow was white in the lamplight, and a bruise from Friday was still yellow on his hip.
