Chapter 12: Plug
Jud set the small black box on the nightstand and opened the lid.
"What is that?" Yancey asked.
"You know what it is."
"I want to hear you say it."
"It's a plug." Jud lifted it out, a smooth black curve of silicone no longer than his finger. "It's for you."
Yancey lay naked on top of the grey sheets, propped on an elbow.
It was Monday night, and the house was quiet, and a rain had started against the window.
He had spent the day taking notes in a meeting and trying not to look at his boss's hands.
"You bought it," he said.
"At lunch."
"You went out at lunch for this?"
"I sent a driver. I don't shop for these things in person." The corner of Jud's mouth lifted. "It's polite not to embarrass the staff."
Yancey laughed, and the laugh caught in his throat when Jud knelt on the bed beside him.
"I want to try something," Jud said. "I want to take my time with you. A long time. I want to keep you right on the edge until you can't remember your name."
"And the plug?"
"Is so you don't get a rest."
Heat went through Yancey, low and bright.
"Is that an order, sir?"
"It's a plan." Jud's voice dropped. "Say yes or say no."
"Yes."
"Good."
He bent and kissed him.
It was unhurried, with a hand on his jaw, and it went on until Yancey stopped counting.
Jud kissed his way down the bed.
He took his time at each place, the hollow of the throat, the ribs, the soft stretch of belly under the navel, and he took no notice when Yancey squirmed.
"Hold still," Jud said.
"I'm trying."
"Try harder," Jud said.
He settled between Yancey's knees and took the lube from the drawer.
