Chapter 19: Second Heat
The heat took Fionn all at once, and the cracked ribs made it worse.
He lay on Mikel's bed in the afternoon dark, with the curtains drawn, and every breath was a knife and a flame.
Slick soaked the sheet beneath him.
His skin was too hot, and his cock lay hard and aching against his belly.
The only thing in the world that he wanted was the man who knelt beside the bed with a damp cloth in his hand.
"I can't," Mikel said.
"Mikel."
"Your ribs are broken," Mikel said.
"Cracked."
"You can't breathe without it hurting. I'd crush you."
Mikel's hand shook on the cloth.
"I'll stay. I'll sit here. I'll hold you, and you'll sleep it off."
"It isn't something you sleep off," Fionn said.
"Then I'll use my hand, I'll use my mouth..."
"Mikel." Fionn caught his wrist. "Listen to me."
"I'm listening."
"My ribs aren't your problem."
Mikel stared at him.
"Use your hands," Fionn said. "Gently. All of you."
He held his eyes.
"I'm not made of glass, and I've been waiting four weeks for you to stop being careful."
