"No," I said.

The red light on the camera stayed on me.

"No, I don't forgive him."

The host blinked. "Not at all?"

"Nobody has asked me to," I said. "He says he wants his family back. He hasn't said he's sorry."

Neil turned on the couch, and his smile was gone.

"Jo, this is not the place."

"You picked the place, Neil. You came here at seven in the morning and told this city I had a breakdown."

"I told them the truth."

"You told them I cancelled our family's income."

I faced the camera.

"I cancelled a credit card. It paid for a hotel suite where my husband has kept his assistant for four months. If that's income, I'm happy to lose it."

The host's mouth was open.

Neil leaned toward me and lowered his voice, though the microphones still caught it.

"I built that business. Nobody would know your name without me."

"I wrote the book, Neil. I wrote the course. You handled the invoices."

"I made you."

"You made twelve wire transfers," I said.

His face changed, very slightly.

The host sat up straighter. "Wire transfers?"

I looked into the lens.

"If you paid four thousand dollars last month for private coaching with me, I never offered it."

I let that sit for a second.

"I'm refunding every one of you today, in full, out of my own account. Call my office. Marcy Holt will pick up."
