Chapter 13: Busy Tonight

Tegan held out her hand for the tablet.

Cal gave it to her, and his other hand stayed hooked behind her knee.

She read Luther's message again with her bare shoulder against the cold stone.

"He wants a number," she said.

"You don't have to answer tonight."

"I'm answering now."

She photographed the message, with the producer's line still on top, and opened her studio's page.

Under the picture she typed: The family will pay anything to bring me home. My price is an apology from Luther, said live, to my face. Tonight I'm busy.

She posted it and dropped the tablet on the blanket.

Cal read it upside down and let out a short laugh.

"Busy," he said.

"Very."

She pulled his face back down to hers.

He kissed her slowly this time, with all the patience the message had not cost him.

It lasted until her fingernails dug into his shoulders and he groaned into her mouth.

"Boots," he said against her lips.

He knelt on the stone and unlaced them one at a time while she watched him do it.

He peeled off her wet pants and her socks, and the fire lit the long muscles of her legs.

"Look at you," he said, hoarse.

He pressed his mouth to the inside of her knee, and then higher, and she felt his stubble drag along her thigh.

"Cal."

"You said the rule was a bad idea."

"I said you said that."

"I did say that."

His breath was hot between her legs, and she grabbed the edge of the ledge with both hands.

He slid her bra up over her breasts and took a nipple in his mouth, and her whole body arched.

"Say what you want," he murmured.

"Your mouth," she said. "Lower."

He went down on his knees again and put his mouth on her pussy.

He licked her in one long, slow stroke, and she cried out loud enough to echo off the cave roof.
