Chapter 16: Ice House

I knelt on the rag rug between his knees with my mouth full of him and his hand lying heavy on my head.

The fish house was eight feet by ten, built of plywood and tar paper, and the propane heater ticked in the corner.

His father had built it forty years ago and dragged it out onto the bay every winter since.

Under the floor, through the square hole in the boards, black water moved under two feet of ice.

I could hear the ice boom, far out, a long low note that ran under the building.

I did not care about any of it.

Mats sat on the edge of the daybed in his open flannel shirt, with his jeans shoved down to his thighs.

His head was tipped back against the wall.

I took him deep, until my nose met his belly, and held there.

"Liisa," he said, in a ragged voice. "Oh, fuck."

I drew back slowly with my lips tight, and ran my tongue up the thick vein on the underside, and took him again.

He was hot and salty, and I could feel his pulse against my tongue.

I drew back until only the tip rested between my lips.

I swirled my tongue around the head, slowly, and pressed it into the sensitive place underneath.

His thighs shook on either side of my shoulders.

"You're teasing me," he said, through his teeth.

"I'm enjoying you," I said, and took him deep again.

"Look at me," he said.

I looked up.

His eyes were wild and fixed on my mouth.

"Look at you," he said. "My God. You were magnificent today, and you're magnificent now, on your knees, with my cock in your mouth."

I hummed around him, and his hips jerked.

I wrapped my right hand around the base and worked it in time with my mouth, slick and steady.

I cupped his balls with my left.
