Chapter 10: Florian Awake

Florian froze with his mouth on mine.

I opened my eyes.

His were wide and green in the candlelight, and a full second passed before he made a sound.

"Oh my God," he whispered.

"You talk too much," I said.

"You're awake. You're really awake. You said something."

"I said you talk too much."

"Holy shit." He sat up so fast the mattress bounced. His hands hovered over me, shaking. "How long? Lena, how long have you, was it, did you..."

I fisted my hand in his shirt and pulled him back down.

"Florian," I said against his mouth. "Shut up and kiss me."

He did.

It was nothing like a drugged kiss.

He kissed me hungrily, with his fingers digging into my hair.

I pushed my hands under his shirt and dragged it up over his head.

His chest was freckled and warm and a little sunburnt.

I scraped my nails down it, and he gasped.

"Lena."

"Take my shirt off."

He nearly tore it getting it over my head.

My bra went next.

He looked at me in the candlelight, and his whole face changed.

"You're," he started, and stopped. "I've been trying not to look for months."

"Look now."

"I'm looking." His voice cracked. "God, I'm looking."

He lowered his head and took my nipple in his mouth, and this time I let the sound out.

It was a real moan, low and long, and he groaned back against my skin.

I arched under him and shoved at his jeans.

He kicked them off, and I felt him, hard and hot against my thigh.
