Chapter 16: Tied
He tied my left wrist to the headboard with a charcoal tie.
He knotted it twice, snug, and ran his thumb under the silk to show me it wasn't cutting.
Then he took the other.
"Same as the first time," I said, breathless.
"Not the same."
I lay on his bed with my arms stretched above my head and nothing on but the silk.
He had undressed me slowly, with those hands, stopping to kiss every inch he uncovered.
Then he had left me there to watch him open the drawer of the nightstand.
I had not known there was a drawer.
He took out a white box and set it on the quilt beside my hip.
"What's that?"
"Open it."
"I can't. You tied my hands."
His mouth curved, just barely.
"Then I'll have to show you."
He lifted the lid.
It was a slim matte-black wand with a round soft head, heavier than it looked, with a cord coiled beside it.
I stared at it.
My thighs pressed together on their own.
"Cal."
"You said you wanted everything."
"I did."
"Spread your legs."
I spread them.
He knelt between them on the bed and ran his palm up my inner thigh, slowly.
His thumb came to rest at the crease where my leg met my body.
"Wider."
I opened for him.
I lay completely bare, with my wrists tied and my knees falling apart, and he looked at me for a long time.
"There," he said softly. "That's what I wanted to see."
He plugged in the cord.
I heard the click and the low hum, and my whole body jumped in anticipation.
"I'm not going to touch you with it yet," he said. "First I'm going to use my mouth."
"Cal, please."
"Tell me what you want."
"Your mouth. Please."
He lowered his head between my thighs.
His beard scraped the soft skin of my inner leg, and his breath came hot over my wet.
