Chapter 12: No Thread
Back in the Pavilion, Zhiyao shut the bedroom door, turned the key, and pointed at the bed.
"Sit."
Wuyan sat on the edge of the mattress, still holding a handful of plum petals from the garden.
She stood in front of him with her arms crossed.
"Hold out your wrists."
His dark eyes lifted to her face.
He didn't ask why.
He held them out side by side, palms up.
She took the sash from her own robe and wound it around them, twice, three times, and drew the knot tight.
"You could snap that," she said.
"Easily."
"Will you?"
"No," said the Emperor.
"Why not?"
"Because you tied it."
She felt the words low in her stomach.
She pushed him back onto the pillows with one hand flat on his chest.
She lifted his bound wrists over his head and hooked the silk over the carved post.
He lay stretched out beneath her, naked to the waist.
His arms were above his head, and his big chest rose and fell.
The torn robe lay open around him.
The claw marks she had left on his shoulders showed red.
"You're staring," Wuyan said.
"I'm admiring my work."
She stripped slowly.
She took her time, one tie and one layer at a time, and watched his eyes follow every inch.
When she was bare she swung a leg across his hips and knelt over him.
His cock lay thick and hard against his stomach, and she didn't touch it.
She leaned down and kissed him.
She kissed the corner of his mouth where she had bitten him, and his jaw, and the scar under his ear.
