Chapter 19: Founders' Day Eve
By the evening before Founders' Day, the academy had gone quiet.
Banners hung from the gate, lanterns lined the nine hundred steps, and both clan masters were a day's ride from the foot of the mountain.
In Room Seven the door was bolted and the lamp turned low.
On the desk lay a smooth jade rod as long as a hand and thick as two fingers.
"I stole it fairly," Seo-hwan said. "I'll put it back."
"Where?"
"Eventually."
Tae-gang laughed, and Seo-hwan kissed him in the middle of the laugh.
They were both twenty-two, both flushed, and neither had touched the other yet.
"Tomorrow," Seo-hwan said against his mouth, "everyone will see what we are. Tonight I want to give you something nobody has had."
"What?"
"Everything I haven't done yet."
He peeled off Tae-gang's shirt, and unwound the chest band, and dropped it.
Tae-gang undressed him in return, slowly, the hairpin, the sash, the bandage from hip to thigh.
The crane lay bare in the lamplight.
For a moment they stood naked, a hand's width apart, and looked.
"On the quilt," Seo-hwan said. "On your back."
Tae-gang lay down.
Seo-hwan knelt over him the wrong way around, his knees on either side of Tae-gang's shoulders, his back to Tae-gang's face.
The sight made Tae-gang's breath stop.
Seo-hwan's backside hung over his chest, pale and round, the crane's long neck curving up the ribs.
His thick hard cock hung just above Tae-gang's mouth, and he leaned forward and took Tae-gang's in his hand.
"Both at once," he said, over his shoulder. "I want to taste you while you taste me."
"Yes."
"Open your mouth."
Tae-gang lifted his head and took Seo-hwan's cock between his lips.
Seo-hwan gasped, and bent, and took Tae-gang into his.
For a few moments neither of them could do anything but feel it.
