Chapter 18: Library Hours
The back stacks of the library smelled of dust, camphor and old paper.
Afternoon light fell through the high lattice windows in long gold bars.
In all the long third floor there was one reading table with a lamp, and one open book.
Seo-hwan sat at it, very upright, with his spectacles on and a brush in his hand.
Tae-gang had been told to crawl.
He knelt in the narrow space under the table, between Seo-hwan's knees, with the panel on the front hiding him to the shoulders.
Both of them were twenty-two years old, and both of them were perfectly, absurdly hard.
"Quiet," Seo-hwan said, looking at the book. "The librarian is two aisles away. If you make a sound I'll stop."
Tae-gang looked up at him.
Seo-hwan was reading, or pretending to.
His face was calm, and his ears were red.
"I'll be quiet," Tae-gang whispered.
"Good. Open my robe."
Tae-gang's big fingers found the ties.
He parted the cloth and pushed the trousers down Seo-hwan's thighs.
The hot flushed length of him sprang up into the light, already wet at the tip.
"You've been like this since the stairs," Tae-gang breathed.
"Since breakfast. Read to me while you do it."
"What?"
"Not you. Me. I'll read."
He took up the book in both hands.
In a clear low voice, he began to read aloud the notes for the first step of the Silver Wing.
Tae-gang leaned in and kissed the inside of his knee.
Seo-hwan's voice did not waver.
"The weight is carried on the ball of the foot. The breath rises, not falls."
Tae-gang kissed higher, along the soft pale skin of the thigh, to the faint pink crescent of his own old bite.
He licked it.
"The knee is relaxed. The hips follow the, the hips."
Tae-gang took the head of Seo-hwan's cock into his mouth.
Seo-hwan's hand clamped down on the page, and a long, slow, ragged breath went out of him.
