Chapter 10: Say Their Names
I wound the red nylon around his wrists twice and snapped the padlock shut myself.
He lay back against his own headboard, naked, with his arms stretched up and his eyes on me.
The lamp was on its lowest setting.
It laid a gold line along his chest and down the long scar on his forearm.
It lit the hard rise of him that I hadn't touched yet.
"Your lock," I said.
I took the small brass key off the cord at my throat and put it in his palm.
"Your key."
His fingers closed over it slowly.
He looked at the fist, then at me.
"If you want out, you turn it," I said. "I don't ask why."
"Mari," he said.
"Don't talk."
"Yes, ma'am," he said.
"Don't call me that either," I said.
I was kneeling over him in my underwear, with my hair down, and I'd never felt so strong in my life.
I took off my shirt, and then the bra, and dropped them both off the bed.
His throat moved.
I crawled up his body until my knees were on either side of his head.
I took hold of the iron rail of the headboard with both hands.
"You've had your mouth on me three times," I said. "Now I'm going to use it."
His eyes went black.
"Open it," I said.
He did.
I lowered myself onto his mouth.
The first stroke of his tongue made me gasp.
He licked deep and slow, and I rocked my hips down against his face and let him feel exactly what I wanted.
"Higher," I said. "There. Right there. Don't you stop."
He made a hungry sound into me that I felt in my spine.
I ground against his mouth, my thighs shaking, and my hands tightened on the cold iron.
His tongue worked my clit in tight, fast circles, and then dipped lower and thrust into me, and I cried out.
