Chapter 15: The Line Cabin
Arlo pressed me flat against the stone wall of the line cabin, and the rock was so cold on my breasts that I gasped.
My jeans were around one boot.
His shirt was open, and his chest was warm against my back, and his hands held both of mine on the stones above my head.
"Do not move them," he said, in his quiet voice.
"I want to see how long you can keep still."
"Not long," I said.
"Good," said Arlo, and I felt him smile against my neck.
We had come down the rim trail at noon, on foot, with the wind cutting through the junipers.
The old cabin stood at the bottom, one room of stacked red stone with a tin roof.
Nobody had lit its woodstove since September.
Arlo had shut the door behind us, and I had not made it three steps.
He kissed the side of my throat, slowly.
He kissed the knob at the top of my spine and each of my shoulders, and the edge of his teeth followed his mouth.
His free hand slid down my belly and between my legs from behind.
I was already slick.
He found it at once and laughed, very softly.
"So wet," he said.
"Mi vida, you are always so wet for me."
"Arlo," I said.
"Yes."
"Stop teasing."
"I am not teasing," he said.
"I am examining."
I laughed, and the laugh turned into a moan when he pushed two fingers inside me from behind and curled them.
They were long and sure.
He had a way of finding the place and pressing it, and then holding still, so that the want wound tighter and tighter.
I put my forehead against the rock.
"Please," I said.
"Not yet."
He drew the fingers out and slid them up and back, wet, and circled my clit with the pad of his thumb.
He did it so lightly that I strained against his hand.
He took me to the edge, and I felt the climb start in my thighs.
