Chapter 14: Please
The cord was black, braided, and as long as her arm.
He had taken it from a locked chest at the foot of the bed.
"It's from my first army coat," Wuyan said. "It held the front shut for nineteen years. I thought of it this afternoon and could not think of anything else."
Zhiyao wound it once around her hand.
It was warm from the chest and rough as rope.
"You picked this one yourself."
"I did."
"Then lie down."
He lay down in the middle of the great bed, naked, with the candles still burning on the shelves.
He was a sight.
Broad chest, thick thighs, a long scar across one rib, and his cock already full and heavy against his stomach.
She cut the cord in four with the little knife from the desk.
"That was a good cord," he said mildly.
"It's still a good cord. It's just four pieces now."
She tied his right wrist to the head of the bed, then his left.
She pulled each knot until it held and checked it with a tug.
Then she knelt at the foot and tied his ankles apart to the two posts.
When she stood back, he lay spread wide open across the silk, arms and legs stretched.
He tested the cord once.
It creaked and held.
"You could break that," she said.
"Will you?"
"Not for anything in the world."
She climbed up onto the bed and knelt beside his hip.
His eyes followed her, huge and dark.
She laid one fingertip at the base of his throat and drew it slowly down the center of his chest, over his stomach, to the top of the black hair below.
He pulled in a breath.
"I'm going to touch you everywhere except where you want," she said. "For a long time."
"Yes."
"And you're going to tell me what you want, out loud, every time I ask."
"Yes, Yining."
